Why Credit for Married Women

Credit for Married Women

Establish credit jointly with your husband, but report to credit bureaus in your name as well as your husband’s name. That way you can build up your own credit history independent of your husbands.

It is a misconception that a married woman who does not earn a separate income cannot obtain credit in her own name. If  you would like credit entirely in your own right, simply apply in your own name. Credit grantors recognize that woman not only has a legal right and claim to half of the family assets and income, but also may in fact have an income the exceeds their husbands.

Take time to review the Archives or the category listings. The goal of this blog is to get the right information into the persons hands that are in the most need.
